The name is almost synonymous with Caribbean sea, sun and sand. Beautiful beaches abound, ranging from bright White Sand, sand pink to rich brown to Golden sand beaches of Black Sand. These beaches seem to invite you to dive into the water sparkling blue, then relax on the beach, soaking in the sun and admire the beauty of the scene. For those who want more activity on the beach lying on a chair Long sipping a cool drink, holidays in the Caribbean offer a range of beach activities. On almost every island, you will find jet skis, kayaks Ocean parasailing, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, water skis and boat rides on the banana main beaches.
The opportunity to practice Surfing is a key element in deciding on a vacation destination for a growing number of people and Barbados is a paradise of surfing in the Caribbean. As fun as the Caribbean beaches are today there are many more vacations in the Caribbean beach activities and these activities are both beyond and behind the beach. When you move beyond the beach there is a range of activities including "Deep-Sea Fishing, Dolphin / Whale Watching and Diving.
Fishing is a recreational pastime on all the Caribbean islands in the Caribbean and some pelagic game fish can be found with some of the most popular being the species sailfish, marlin, tuna and wahoo. As these species are migratory fish, they are more abundant at certain times of the year on each island, but there are other species that are usually found year round in different islands. Sea fishing off the waters of Tobago is the angler's dream with some of the world fish the most exciting game, including blue marlin, white marlin, swordfish, king mackerel, tuna, barracuda, dolphin (mahi-mahi) and shark. Waters north of Jamaica are also well known for deep-sea and sport fishing. The Garrison Historic Area in Barbados around the Garrison Savannah, which is the center of much of the sports and entertainment to Barbados. The Savannah is however a place steeped in history for more than sport. The historical significance of the Garrison Savannah dates back to 1650 when Charles Fort was erected in the area, then in 1705, Fort St. Ann's was added. This area developed into a military complex and be the site of a military complex, many buildings were built from the 1660s to the 1800s.
