What are white spots on the palm of European fans?
The Palm is not healthy. They are the points of some kind of insect? I lost one frond and what appears to rot. Is there any need for fertilizer?
Hey Evan, Time near the stains, use a 10x loupe. This could be of scale. Scale is an insect that is very hard to get rid of him. You need to get a little horticultural oil and spray soon. Lesco, John Deere, farm shops and agricultural products that are sold, but I had to buy 2.5 gallons - $ 40. That can be used in all the bushes though. Try to identify the exact scale insect if you can first, then learn about the life cycle (born on earth, climbing the tree?, when they are most vulnerable?). Then find the right oil for the job Hort.

Is The Windmill Palm Cold Hardy In Zone 7a?
October 21st, 2009 Jeff I AM WONDERING IF THE WINDMILL PALM WAS REALLY COLD HARDY TO THE WINTERS OF ZONE 7A/7B. DOES IT NEED PROTECTION? CAN IT BE BARE? CAN IT EVEN SURVIVE WITH OR WITHOUT PROTECTION.
